Action 1: Project Management

The management of the project has been succesfully completed.

Action 2: Identifying climate change risks and opportunities for the Financial Sector

The report “Climate Change and Greek Businesses: Risks and Opportunities” has been completed. It can be read on the project website.

Piraeus Bank’s climate change strategy has been completed and can be read on the project website.

Action 3: Quantifiying climate change risks and opportunities

The climate risk quantification model and the climate risk reduction model have been completed.

The climate opportunities quantification study “Climate Change and Business Opportunities” and its simplified version have been completed. The simplified version can be read on the project website.

Action 4: Motivating businesses to adapt to climate change

The e-tool (a simplified tool derived from the models) has been completed.

The Green Banking Portal has been launched (www.greenbanking.gr).

Action 5: Capacity building for business opportunities in climate adaptation

Three e-learning programmes have been completed.

Nine workshops have taken place in Greece and three in the subsidiaries abroad (Romania, Bulgaria, Cyprus).

The green news is uploaded regularly on the Bank’s intranet.

Action 6: Project communication and dissemination

Two leaflets have been published, one explaining the project, and a second one concerning the Green Banking Portal.

The DVD has been completed and the 25 videos are beeing played in the bank branches and administration buildings as well as in the social media (http://www.youtube.com/user/SkepsouPrasina).

The website (www.climabiz.gr) is regularly updated.

The noticeboard, actually a video on the climabiz project has been created and is being played in all branches and administration buildings.

A project team member has participated in a LIFE conference in Helsinki, and in a Carbon Finance Conference in London. The climabiz project was presented during the UNFCCC COP 18 held in Doha, Qatar. Τhe technical report "Climate Change and the Financial Sector" has been completed and uploaded in the project website. A scientific article has been submitted for publication in an academic journal. The Layman's report has been completed and uploaded in the project website.
